High Tides and Wet Feet

  After being served a hearty corned beef dinner at the boat club’s annual St. Patty’s Day party guests and members had to wade through a foot or more of water in the parking lot because of super high tides and heavy rainfall from this weekends no name “nor’easter.”

    The winds, often more than sixty miles an hour, toppled outdoor furniture and just about anything that wasn’t tied down. Even one boat in winter storage got blown off its blocks to lean against the boat next to it.

     But, considering the millions of dollars of

damage from downed trees, downed

power lines, power outages, and flooding throughout Monmouth County and the

State, some might say the club had the

luck of the Irish on its side.

Spring Clean Up and Fix Up  2010

                   March 20th

More than 45 club members showed up

on the first day of spring to clean up, make

repairs, and take down the dock bubbler

system among other chores. The galley crew,  as aways, was there to serve a hot lunch.
