LBIBYC ICE BOAT REPORT By Bill Rudolph 02/12/15 : Long Branch, NJ. Local ice is gone for now. Looks like Keith Brummer, pictured three photos down on the left seen speeding across the ice, is the club DN skipper to beat this year. He won several club races. The club ice boaters were on the local ice in good numbers. The safety committee with the winter fleet captain did a great job checking, setting a course and doing rescues, see stories below. The DN world Gold Cup was to be in the east this year but the ice did not cooperate so they moved northwest to Torch Lake, Mich. Matt Struble had 1st, Ron Sherrie 2nd, both from USA, 3rd was Zigler from Germany. The DN North American's moved to Wisconsin this week, no results yet. News1_files/safety.pdf
